- 1 tbspOlive oil
- 80 gHard cheese, 4 slices
- 4Burger buns
- 4 tbspKetchup
- 4 tbspMayonnaise (optional)
On the side
- 500 gFrench fries, frozen
Method
- Heat the oven to 220 °C. Spread the chips out on a baking tray and bake for about 20 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and crisp (or cook them in an air fryer as the pack says).
- Meanwhile, wash the lettuce and thinly slice the tomato and onion.
- Season the burgers with salt. Heat a griddle or frying pan with the oil over a medium-high heat and cook them for 3–4 minutes per side, until cooked through.
- For the last minute, lay a slice of cheese on each burger and cover so it melts. Split the buns and toast them lightly in the pan.
- Build the burgers with the lettuce, tomato and onion, and serve with the chips, ketchup and mayonnaise.
