Butter naan
Naan is a restaurant bread in India: homes buy it ready-made or bring it from the local dhaba, warm it on the tawa and brush it with butter, to eat with paneer butter masala, dal makhani or chicken curry. For garlic naan, stir finely chopped garlic and coriander leaves into the melted butter. Some homes make tawa naan at weekends from maida, curd and baking powder. Jain homes leave out the garlic.
