Homemade chicken burgers with oven chips
Homemade burgers of minced chicken with onion, garlic and parsley, pan-fried and served in buns with lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise, with oven chips on the side. Also eaten without the bun, with a salad.

Ingredients for 4 portions
- 600 gMinced chicken
- 1Yellow onion, grated
- 1 cloveGarlic, finely chopped
- 2 tbspParsley, chopped
- 1Egg
- 4 tbspBreadcrumbs
- 2 tbspGrated cheese
- to tasteSalt
- to tasteBlack pepper
- 1 tbspRapeseed oil, for frying
On the side
- 600 gFrench fries, frozen
- 4Burger buns
- 100 gLettuce, leaves separated
- 2Tomatoes, sliced
- 4 tbspMayonnaise
Method
- Heat the oven to 220 °C. Spread the chips out in a single layer on a baking tray.
- Once the oven is hot, bake the chips for about 25 minutes, turning them halfway, until golden and crisp.
- Meanwhile, mix the chicken mince in a bowl with the onion, garlic, parsley, egg, breadcrumbs, cheese, salt and pepper.
- With wet hands, shape the mixture into four burgers about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat and fry the burgers for 5–6 minutes a side, until golden and cooked through.
- Split and briefly warm the buns. Spread with mayonnaise and fill with lettuce, tomato and a burger. Serve with the chips.
