Panchos – hot dogs with potato sticks

Sausages heated in water and tucked into soft rolls with mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise and a handful of crunchy potato sticks: the quick supper for when nothing is left over from lunch. They are also made with melted mozzarella.

Ingredients for 4 portions

Method

  1. Put the sausages in a saucepan and cover with cold water.
  2. Heat over a medium heat until the water is almost boiling, then leave the sausages for 5 more minutes on a low heat, without boiling, so they heat through without splitting.
  3. Split the rolls lengthways without cutting all the way through. Warm them for a few minutes in the oven or a dry frying pan if you like.
  4. Drain the sausages, put them in the rolls and top with mustard, ketchup and mayonnaise. Scatter over a handful of potato sticks and serve straight away.
