Swedish hot dogs
Warm sausages in soft hot dog buns with mustard and ketchup – a quick dinner children love. Top them with crispy fried onions or prawn salad, add mashed potato to the bun, or wrap the sausage in thin flatbread with mash for a tunnbrödsrulle.

Ingredients for 4 portions
- 10Vienna sausages
- 10Hot dog buns
- 4 tbspMustard
- 4 tbspKetchup
Method
- Bring a large pan of water to the boil.
- Lower the heat so the water is barely simmering and add the sausages.
- Leave the sausages to heat through for 5–7 minutes. Don't let the water boil, or the sausages will split.
- Warm the buns briefly in the oven or microwave and set out the mustard and ketchup.
- Lift out the sausages, put them in the buns and top with mustard and ketchup.
