Oven-baked cod with prawn sauce
Cod fillets baked in the oven with lemon, served with boiled potatoes and a creamy prawn and dill sauce. Just as good with cod loin or coley, or with melted butter instead of the sauce.

Ingredients for 4 portions

- to tasteBlack pepper
- 600 gCod fillet, or cod loin
- 1 tbspButter, for the dish
- 1Lemon
- 2 dlCrème fraîche
- ≈ 1 dlWater
- ½ cubeFish stock
- 200 gPrawns, cooked and peeled
- 3 ½ tbspDill, chopped

- 1 kgPotato
Method
- Heat the oven to 200 °C. Peel the potatoes, put them in a pan, cover with water, add salt and bring to the boil.
- Boil the potatoes until tender, about 20 minutes.
- Butter an ovenproof dish. Lay the fish in it, season with salt and pepper and top with a few thin slices from half the lemon.
- Bake the fish in the middle of the oven for about 15 minutes, until white all the way through and just flaking.
- Bring the crème fraîche, water and fish stock to the boil in a saucepan, stirring. Squeeze in the juice of the other lemon half.
- Stir the prawns and dill into the sauce and heat through without letting it boil.
- Drain the potatoes and serve the fish with the potatoes and prawn sauce.
