Spaghetti bolognese
Everyone's weeknight favourite: a rich mince and tomato sauce with oregano, served with spaghetti and parmesan.

Ingredients for 4 portions
- 1Yellow onion
- 2 clovesGarlic
- 1Carrot
- 1 tbspOlive oil
- 500 gBeef mince
- 2 tbspTomato paste
- 400 gCrushed tomatoes
- ≈ 1 dlWater
- 1 cubeBeef stock
- 1 tspOregano
- to tasteSalt
- to tasteBlack pepper
On the side
- 400 gPasta, spaghetti
- 1 dlParmesan, grated
Method
- Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Peel and grate the carrot.
- Fry the onion, garlic and carrot in the oil in a large frying pan. Add the mince and brown it over high heat, breaking it up with a spatula.
- Stir in the tomato purée and let it fry for a minute. Add the crushed tomatoes, water, crumbled stock cube and oregano.
- Simmer the sauce under a lid over low heat for about 15 minutes, stirring now and then.
- Meanwhile, bring plenty of salted water to the boil and cook the spaghetti according to the packet.
- Drain the spaghetti. Season the sauce with salt and pepper.
- Serve the meat sauce with the spaghetti and grated parmesan.
