Italian-style beef patties in a sun-dried tomato cream sauce with pasta
Juicy mince patties flavoured with parmesan, garlic, tomato purée and basil, simmered for a few minutes in a cream sauce with sun-dried tomatoes. Serve with pasta. Many serve the patties with pesto and rice instead of the sauce.

Ingredients for 4 portions
- 500 gBeef mince
- 1Egg
- 2 clovesGarlic, crushed
- 3 ½ tbspParmesan, finely grated
- 2 tbspTomato paste
- 1 tspMustard
- 1Basil, pot
- ≈ 3 ½ tbspWater
- to tasteSalt
- to tasteBlack pepper
- 1 tbspButter, for frying
- 50 gSun-dried tomatoes in oil, chopped
- 2 ½ dlCooking cream

- 300 gPasta
Method
- Put a large pan of salted water on for the pasta. Chop half the basil. Mix the mince with the egg, garlic, parmesan, tomato purée, mustard, chopped basil, water, salt and pepper until evenly combined.
- Shape the mixture into 12 small patties with wet hands.
- Cook the pasta following the packet instructions, about 10 minutes.
- Fry the patties in the butter in a large frying pan over medium heat for 3–4 minutes a side, until nicely browned and cooked through.
- Pour the cream around the patties and scatter in the sun-dried tomatoes. Simmer for 3 minutes and season with salt and pepper.
- Drain the pasta. Tear the rest of the basil over the patties and serve with the pasta.
