Taco gratin
Everything you love about taco night in one dish: spiced beef mince with sweetcorn, taco sauce and crème fraîche under a layer of crushed tortilla chips and melted cheese. Served with a fresh salad.

Ingredients for 4 portions
- 1Yellow onion
- 1 tbspRapeseed oil
- 500 gBeef mince
- 30 gTaco seasoning
- ≈ 1 ½ dlWater
- 140 gSweetcorn, drained
- 250 gTaco sauce
- 2 dlCrème fraîche
- 150 gTortilla chips, lightly crushed
- 2 dlGrated cheese
On the side
- ½Lettuce
- 2Tomatoes
- ½Cucumber
Method
- Heat the oven to 225 °C. Peel and chop the onion.
- Brown the mince and onion in the oil in a large frying pan over a high heat, breaking up the mince with a spatula.
- Stir in the taco seasoning and water and simmer for a few minutes. Stir in the sweetcorn.
- Spread the mince in an ovenproof dish. Spoon over the taco sauce and crème fraîche and spread them out a little. Scatter over the crushed tortilla chips and the cheese.
- Bake in the middle of the oven for 10–12 minutes, until the cheese has melted and turned golden.
- Shred the lettuce and cut the tomatoes and cucumber into chunks.
- Serve the taco gratin with the salad.
